Auditions
Broadway Palm is currently accepting submissions from LOCAL youth actors for the roles of ANNIE and the ORPHANS in our upcoming summer production of ANNIE.
Orphans should appear between the ages of 6 and 14, with a maximum height of 5’2”. Please note that all children in this production should be local and have housing in SWFL. We are also looking for a local dog to play Sandy.
Actors (both human and canine) must be available for all rehearsals. The production will be double cast.
Rehearsal dates: June 16th – July 3rd. Rehearsals are generally 10 am – 6 pm. Tech week hours (June 30th – July 3rd) will be 12:30 pm to 10 pm. Show runs July 3rd – August 9th with performances Wednesday – Sunday.
SEEKING:
ANNIE: Female identifying, to play 11 years old. 5’0” or less. Spunky, friendly, big voice. A tough yet charming and streetwise orphan, who is independent, hopeful, and wise beyond her years. She acts as a leader/mother figure to the other orphans while yearning for parents of her own. Must have a clarion belt voice with extensive range (A3 to F5), excellent comedic timing and be a string mover. Tap dance a plus. Any ethnicity.
ORPHANS (female identifying):
MOLLY – the youngest and smallest in the orphanage
KATE – small for her age, covers MOLLY
TESSIE – anxiety driven
DUFFY – the oldest and tallest
JULY – the quietest one of the group, sings “Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile”
PEPPER – the tough one, always up for a fight
All ORPHANS must be strong singers with dance ability. Tumbling a plus (cartwheels, walkovers, acro, handsprings).
To submit for ANNIE or the ORPHANS, please video the following cut of “Hard Knock Life” and attach headshot/photo with a theatrical resume to your email. A simple video taken on your phone is fine. We will be accepting submissions until March 1st. Those selected for in person callbacks will be contacted by March 9th.

SANDY: Annie’s constant companion. Looking for a well-trained dog who is comfortable with children and large groups of people. Treat motivated and able to sit, stand and come with hand signals. Searching for any mid-sized breed but must be a “sandy” color. To submit dogs for SANDY please send photo of dog and any performing/training experience.

Broadway Palm is located off Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers, Florida near the historic McGregor Boulevard. It is just thirty minutes from both Fort Myers Beach and the beautiful Sanibel Island.
Dutch Apple is located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in the heart of the PA Dutch Country. It is just one hour from Baltimore and three hours from New York City (with accessibility by train or car).
