Step into the Spotlight at Broadway Palm Bootcamp! Campers don’t just put on a show, they build confidence, learn to work as a team, and become responsible rockstars.
No experience? No problem! These camps are designed to build self-esteem as students refine their creativity, active listening, and concentration skills all while learning about musical theatre.

Take a journey into the swamp with Shrek, Donkey, Fiona, Dragon, and all your favorite fairy-tale characters! Shrek Jr. gave Broadway Palm Bootcamp performers the chance to explore fun, memorable roles while discovering thee importance of friendship, confidence, and being true to yourself.
With roles for performers of all experience levels, every Bootcamp participant had the opportunity to be a part of this magical, musical adventure. Auditions were held during the first week of camp, with every participant cast in the production
Pirates (Audition only; Ages 8-14yrs)
Argh Matey! It’s time for Pirates! This 2 week class will hold auditions October 4th and start October 11th, ending with a one night only performance of Pirates!
Students 8-14yrs will particpate in a professional style rehearsal period–learning acting, vocal & dance techniques from Broadway Palm Performers and Staff along the way. We will accept all kiddos who audition (up to 20).
Participants must audition for consideration. Auditions / Callbacks will be held on October 9th. Audition materials from the show will be provided. Audition sign ups will be available in early September. Please contact amy@broadwaypalm.com with any questions.
Auditions: October 4th: 9-12pm
All students will be cast in the show, this audition will allow us to cast students in their roles ASAP so they can go over their lines before we start rehearsals on October 11th

Meet the Instructors!
DANICA MURRAY (Director)
Danica Murray is a local actor, director, and theater educator. Recent productions she’s directed at Broadway Palm include SpongeBob the Musical and Flat Stanley. Arts Bonita directing credits include Jekyll & Hyde and Jungle Book, with Assistant directing credits for Carrie and Titanic the Musical. She also Co-Directed Lord of the Flies The Experience in conjunction with Lee County Parks and Rec and Elevate Acting Studios. From teaching theater and acting classes, to working on the stage herself, she is passionate about professionalism in youth theater and creating great results with young actors.
Luke Anderson (Choreographer)
Luke is so excited to choreograph Pirates! The Musical. He is a performer, dance instructor, and choreographer originally from the Black Hills of South Dakota. Luke received his B.S. in American Dance Pedagogy from Oklahoma City University. He teaches various styles of dance to ages ranging from 5 all the way to 74. He has choreographed professional and children’s theatre; ballets, competition dance, and production numbers. He is currently portraying Dwayne in Broadway Palm’s production of 9 to 5, followed by White Christmas. Some of his previous credits include CATS (Broadway Palm Dinner Theater); Young Frankenstein (Monster), Top Hat, 42nd Street & West Side Story (Surflight Theatre); Twice Charmed and Disney Dreams (Disney Cruise Line).
Amy Marie McCleary (Music Director/Artistic Producer)
Amy McCleary currently serves as the Artistic Director for both the Off-Broadway Palm and the Broadway Palm Children’s Theatre. She has been coaching young actors for close to twenty years with many of her students pursuing theatre in college and beyond. She loves working with young singers on finding their unique voice and telling stories through song. Amy also serves as resident director for the Broadway Palm directing many of their productions including Annie, Cats, A Christmas Story and many more. This season she will direct and choreograph 9 to 5, White Christmas, Grease, We Will Rock You and Frozen.
